Multi-state license and experience are often desired, depending upon the firm or client involved. The consulting position requires good communication skills - both oral and written. Good research skills are necessary. The ability to prioritize tasks is also necessary.
An accountant can work with a particular industry or he can also open his tax consultancy firm through which various companies can take his assistance in planning their strategies which could ease them of the tax burden.
