Talking About The Problem With Typical Staffing Versus Virtual Staffing

Talking about The Problem With Typical Staffing Versus Virtual Staffing has come a long way. There are so many concerns to give thought to, one would be Office Space for the corporate employee. There are political concerns when it comes to seating arrangements for the employees. Telephones and Computer Hardware are a necessity for the traditional office worker and maintenance must be applied when software licenses must be put in place for each and every employee. The total cost for all of these basic needs could be applied for other options when it comes to the virtual employee.

Another issue to consider would be Health issues. A telecommuter whether sick or healthy can still work from home. A traditional office worker will more than likely try to make it into work the first few days. Within the next few days the germs would have spread to other workers in the office causing multiple absenteeism.

Constant interruptions would not be an issue with the virtual employee as this is the normal and time management would come into play. The office employee would normally take a few minutes to maintain a relationship with other co-workers to discuss how the weekend went and catch up on the latest of family and friends issues. This would lead into longer than normal coffee breaks and lunch breaks.

A physical office takes much maintenance from ordering Office Supplies to Furniture. Xerox and Fax machines that require toners and cartridges are expensive and are a basic necessity to every home or physical office. Security and Janitorial Services would need to be retained.

Sick Leave for the physical office workers is a common abused issue. The employee does not have many other choices when it comes to taking time off whether it be due to illness or if a family member needs assistance. This would not come into play for the virtual staff as this has already been written into the overall plan.

The telecommuter has much to be happy about as they have the freedom to work from their home office and tend to personal issues as well. This gives the home bound worker much more rewards than the office worker who has to travel to work on a daily basis and deal with the stress of commuting.

Productivity goes up as there is more time to attend to work matters on a timely basis. There are no commute times or reasons for arriving late. Work flow is a constant and frequently at a much higher rate. Studies have shown that a telecommuter works longer hours than a office bound worker.

For the home bound worker money is of less importance due to the fact that there is much more respect and flexibility towards the telecommuter. Their sense of pride is much higher than that of a employee with a physical office. The problem with Typical Staffing versus Virtual Staffing is a Virtual staff can get up in the morning and tend to work matters in a matter of minutes whereas a traditional office worker has to get properly attired and take the time to get to the office and dealing with everyday commute issues. The savings on clothing for the office is a big plus and with these many options the telecommuter position is much to be admired and wanted by the office worker. More than half of these normal office workers would give up monies to trade places with the home bound individual.
